Throughout Canada, there are any number of road trip destinations to head to. Whether you want to explore the historical charm of Quebec City or the wild wilderness of Alberta and BC, the options are endless. However, many Canadians are putting a hold on their road trip plans this year due to rising fuel prices.
In a recent survey completed on behalf of Toyota Canada by Ipsos, 47% of Canadian road trip plans are being put off due to increasing gas prices. In addition to this, 27% of Canadians are considering cancelling their existing plans to avoid higher bills at the gas pump.
It looks like Canadians are taking fighting these increasing prices in a smart way. Toyota Canada Inc. has seen a record share of 16.7% of its total April sales going towards electrified vehicles. This includes the all-new RAV4 Hybrid, and signifies that many Canadians are looking to combat these rising prices — and help the environment out while doing so.
If you’re hoping to head out on a road trip this year, but want to reduce the cost of fuel when you do, Toyota on Front has an extensive green lineup to choose from. You can opt for the RAV4 Hybrid, Corolla Hybrid, Prius, Prius c, Prius v, Prius Prime, Camry Hybrid, and Highlander Hybrid.
